Alex, Jamie and Kyle turn back the clock on their games industry adventures & successes, going all the way back to the rag-tag beginnings when things were intimidating. Facing doubts to reach your dreams, what could go wrong?
Any goals you have that you want to talk about? Any tools you’ve used that helped you succeed in the pursuit of those goals? We wanna hear em! After all, what could go wrong?
Banger of an episode! Gaming Union (GU) was a formative experience for sure. Even though it was a while ago now, it lives rent free in my head still. Or that may be the brain worm.
I’d say the strongest connecting threats from GU to Token are that the podcasts were where we got to joke around endlessly, and with all the episodes we did it was a looooot of practice! Like a constant improv session, like we do now. The other thread was just how we organize as a team, all getting on the same page before big things happen, constantly talking about the journey we’re on to keep ourselves psyched up and not forget why or what we’re doing.
Looking forward to the next episode! Like how the hell did we make time for this madness, how’d we deal with being 20 year olds constantly working with 35-55 year olds, how the heck did we pay the bills? Oh and how did we keep the momentum going, and building? Did we??
Every single time (of the million times I’ve listened to this now) I hear you say, “I’m just a worm…” it cracks me up, I can’t even explain it. Maybe it’s an activation phrase for the worm in MY brain!
