@AceBonanza’s LIMIT BREAK bar is filled and so a new Gamevania is revealed!

It’s 2006 and shooters are blasting through the gaming landscape, so naturally the next series to adapt into an edgy third person shooter could only be…Final Fantasy VII? But I thought it was about big sword mans!

Except they didn’t use the sword mans. They used the GUN man! The guy who didn’t get to be in the FF7 ending cinematic because he was an optional character, now gets to contribute to the lore in his own game! Part of that was adding a faction called Deepground and the Tsviets, and…ok, did Kojima secretly write this?
Colour me surprised that he did not.

Have you played this part of the FF7 mega-series? What other characters could work in a shooter? Who should I give this gun to?

Thank you for this double jump down memory lane xD. Holy smokes the lore DoC introduced was so extensive, to the point that I was like, alright this is not bad material but THIS MUCH unearthed lore begins to be break my suspension of disbelief. They needed more hooks into the original plot beyond Hojo and parallels to WEAPONs. That said, I played the game end to end on release day, then turned around and played it again.

I did not know everyone is double named after colours, holy shit xD.

After watching this video I went home and played FF7 on my lil PSPGO for a few hours, it really is a horny game even for its time lol
